barclaycard has withdrawn my cash advance facility whilst i've not had any cash advance lately. help?

There may be a provision in the cash advance terms and conditions that if you don't use it, it is withdrawn. You would have to check your specific terms and conditions.
They refused to give me another chequebook – even though I have never bounced one and am in credit – so I don't know!!!!
It's possible your credit rating has lost a few points because of something else you've done.
Write to Barclaycard. Tell them that although you don't often use the cash advance facility, it's useful to know it's there, and if they don't want to restore it you'll have to go somewhere else. You'll get a phone call blaming the computer.
No, not heard of that one. Are you referring to the credit card (not debit card) when discussing Barclaycard?
If you are, it's an expensive way of getting cash, as they charge interest and a fee on cash withdrawals.
If I were you, I'd contact them immediately about it.
If they can't sort it out, or give a satisfactory answer, tell them to shove their account, and take your money elsewhere.
Remember, you're the customer. Don't take any crap.
if you are not useing it on a reg basis they may seem fit to take it off you as they are only doing it to make money my advise is ring them up and tell them if it is not re-instated you may change banks – there are plenty more out there willing to give you money
They withdraw it matey if you dont use it,just call them if you require it and they will set it back up.Nothing to get concerned about.These facilitys are withdrawn automaticaly after a period of none use.
